Pflugerville Texas is an eclectic mix of culture and people. It's residents are a blend of high-tech, white collar, blue collar, students and more.

Pflugerville is situated on Austin's northeast border and is virtually a part of Austin but with it's own community and government. it has more amenities per capita than most towns it's size including pools, recreation center, lake, hike and bike trails and a modern library.

It's growing at a steady pace to more than 35,000 residents currently. It's location between Austin and Round Rock makes it convenient to such large employers as Austin Semiconductor, Dell, Samsung, AMD and many more. It's quick access to I-35 puts it an easy commute either way. Pflugerville is also expecting the Capitol Metrorail to be finished in 2008 giving it a straight to downtown Austin.

Pflugerville is an all out Texas town with an emphasis on activities for kids. There are organizations for baseball, football and soccer. The town also has it's special celebrations such as Deutschen Pfest in honor of it's heritage.

Pflugerville was given it's name from an early settler, Henry Pfluger, an expatriot of the Prussian War, that arrived in 1849. The name has lent itself to Pflugerville's own sense of humor and pride. The local newspaper is named the Pflugerville Pflag and it's 4th of July party called the Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival.

It is a quieter suburban life in Pflugerville with easy access to much bigger things. Close to Dell Diamond for sports and Austin's famous live music venues makes it the best of all worlds.
